Guide for Authors

Terms and Conditions for Manuscript Submission

  • The Journal of Rahpooye Honar-Ha-Ye Tajassomi aims at publishing the results of scientific research and experiences in Visual Arts.
  • Research and analytical papers as well as scientific reports and book reviews on Painting, Sculpture, Graphic and Industrial Design are accepted for publication after review by referees and the editorial board. 
  • The paper should have neither been previously published nor be under consideration elsewhere.
  • The editorial board reserve the right to accept or reject any article after reviewed by referees.
  • The sole responsibility for views and statements expressed in the article remains with the author(s).

 


Manuscript Structure (Author Instruction)

  • The manuscript should include an abstract, introduction, literature review, methodology, research body covering the results, endnotes, and references.
  • The total should not exceed 12 pages of the Journal or 8000 words.
  • Papers should have Persian and English abstracts.
  • The abstract of the paper should include the statement of the problem, purpose, method of research, topics of the article and important findings and results. This section should be representative of the entire article and in particular the results obtained.
  • Persian abstract size is a maximum of 300 words and English abstract (Extended abstract) is about 500 words.
  • Persian and English abstracts must be presented on a separate page.
  • The “introduction” should point to the research questions, objectives and a general overview of the paper.
  • The “results” section should succinctly and logically clear out the research findings.
  • The guidance and contributions of others can by acknowledged briefly in a separate section. 
  • The endnotes should be numbered and included before the references.
  • The first page should include Author`s full name, title and affiliation, Address, telephone, Fax, and E-mail.
  • Also, if the paper is based on a grant or a student thesis, it should be noted accordingly on the first page.
  • The second page should begin with the paper’s title, abstract, and keywords. Note that the title should be short, succinct, and relevant to the text.
  • ‘Keywords’ should include between four to six major words relevant to the article.
  • The number of figures, graphs, and tables should be minimal. Each should be numbered and noted on the backside using a pencil.
  • If the paper has more than one author, one must be represented as the corresponding author. 
  • Short scientific notes regarding research projects or art-related reports should not exceed 500 words.
  • Scientific reports and book reviews in related fields are accepted for consideration and publication.

 


References

Citations should follow the international convention as follows:

    • (a) Author`s name, date, and page should be referenced in parenthesis, following the related text.
    • (b) If the paper is in Farsi but the literature cited is in Latin, The above information should be in Farsi and the Latin equivalent can be included in the footnote on the same page.
    • Full references should be included at the end of the paper in alphabetical order.

References should follow the American Psychological Association (APA) style:

    • Articles: Author(s) (year of publication), full article title, journal`s name, volume, number, Pages.
    • Books: Author(s) (year of publication), book title, translator, Publisher and location.
    • Electronic Article: Surname Author, Name, Publishing Year, Article Name, Electronic Journal Name or Web site, Last Reload Date, URL.
    • Examples of APA standard citation style as follows:

      Article with more than three authors

    • It is necessary to include the unique DOI or DOR identifier at the end of the references of each article as follows:

    • Publications that translate the list of Persian sources into English, it is necessary to use the term [In Persian] in the standard form (i.e. complete, uniform and in square brackets) at the end of the reference to an article that was originally in Persian.

Plagiarism Detection

  • First, all authors must register their papers in the similarity detection system of the Iranian Institute of Information Science and Technology (irandoc) at “http://tik.irandoc.ac.ir” and then submit the result, if the similarity is below 20%, to Upload the article and other appendices to the journal system.

  • Manuscripts, not following the above guidelines, will be returned to the author(s).

Article Poccessing Charges 

As an Open Access journal, publishing an article in this journal requires an Article Processing Charge (APC) that which is paid in two stages (for more information see Journal Publication Fee).


Open Access and Copyright Statement

In this journal and Under open access license, authors retain ownership of the copyright for their content, but allow anyone to download, reuse, reprint, modify, distribute, and/or copy the content as long as the original authors and source are cited properly. The authors are the copyright holder in this journal.
